4.3.  The First Session of IDBC.

The First Session of IDBC was organized and funded within the project. This activity included:

1. Preparing and making copies of handouts.

2. Renting the session hall, providing necessary equipment and transportation.

3. Refunding participants (per diem expenses, travel, accommodation costs).

4. Organizing meals for participants.

The First Session of IDBC had nearly sixty participants from Belarus, Russia and Ukraine representing environmental protection agencies, other government agencies and local governments of Dnipro basin oblasts, major water users and their associations, leading research institutions and environmental NGOs involved in Dnipro environment rehabilitation efforts. The session approved the Council’s constituent documents – its Regulations and Indicative Action Plan.

The agenda and Resolution of the First Session of the International Dnipro Basin Council are attached as Appendices 9 and 10.
