10.1.2. Feasibility Analysis
The feasibility analysis of water-protective measures was carried out by means of comparison of economic results of these measures with the costs required for their realization.
The Mozyr Refinery Treatment Facilities presented the following input data:
Investment required for reconstruction and expansion of the waste treatment facilities – $1,400,000 USD;
Operational current (annual) costs of the newly commissioned waste treatment facilities – $10,000 USD.
It was estimated the reduction in “monopollutant” would be 544 tonnes per year with these measures. The resulting cost reduction would be $178,000 USD, and the payback period on these measures being 12.7 years.
