10.3.2. Assessment of Status Quo Scenario

 

Based on assumptions identified above, a status quo scenario was prepared to benchmark how the BWTP will perform if nothing were changed over the ten-year timeframe 2005 to 2004. The results are presented in Table 10.3.2.1.

 

On average, under this scenario BWTP will continue to lose just over $1 million per year, and inflict approximately $35 to $46 million a year in environmental damages. Energy costs will remain high at almost $7 million a year (and over 40% of estimated operating costs).
