During the site reconnaissance phase of the work, many references were made available to the Assessment Team. These references have been used as they are applicable to the objectives and scope of the project. Although information from these references my be included herein, such information has been attributed to their source as clearly and concisely as possible. The objective of our project is to facilitate the financing of projects at sources of pollution in the Dnieper River Basin with the ultimate goal of improving the environmental quality in the basin itself. In so doing, we have attempted to summarize existing information in the context of these objectives and goals, and avoid any duplication of effort. Any decisions regarding investment in projects proposed herein should be based a review of all referenced documents. With respect to KVK, extensive assessments, analysis and estimates have been conducted in advance of the current program including the Phase 1 prioritization. These sources of information are described below.
