5.3.18. 680121 Theophipol Sugar Plant

In 2000, the total volume of effluent discharges from the Theophipol Sugar Plant was 320,000 m3.  These discharges entered the Goryn River without receiving any treatment, and contained major contaminants at the following quantities: BODt (40 tonnes); suspended substances (7 tonnes); dry residue (170 tonnes); sulphates (26 tonnes); chlorides (20 tonnes); ammonium nitrogen (2 tonnes); and nitrates (2 tonnes).

The Theophipol Sugar Plant accounts for 0.005% of the total volume of effluent discharges in the Dnipro Basin.
