In 1999, the total volume of effluent discharged by the Kakhovka Vodokanal Company was 2,783,000 m3, as compared to a volume of 2,621,000 m3 in 2000.  In the year 2000, the following quantities of major contaminants entered the Kakhovka reservoir with effluent discharges from the Kakhovka Vodokanal Company: BODt (30 tonnes); oil products (0.066 tonne); suspended substances (28 tonnes); dry residue (1,600 tonnes); sulphates (235 tonnes); chlorides (459 tonnes); ammonium nitrogen (4 tonnes); nitrates (14 tonnes); iron (0.446 tonne); and hexavalent chromium (0.002 tonne).

The Kakhovka Vodokanal Company accounts for 0.045% of the total volume of effluent discharges in the Dnipro Basin.

Major contaminants contributed by the Kakhovka Vodokanal Company to the total pollution load are ammonium nitrogen, BOD, and iron.
