5.3.8. 530086 Lubny Felt Factory

In 1999, the Lubny Felt Factory discharged 1,386,000 m3 of wastewater, including 20,000 m3 of untreated effluent.  Over 1999, the following quantities of the major contaminants entered the Sula River with effluent discharges from Lubny Felt Factory: BODt (29 tonnes); oil products (24 tonnes); suspended substances (40 tonnes); dry residue (63 tonnes); chlorides (107 tonnes); ammonium nitrogen (22 tonnes); nitrates (24 tonnes); surfactants (0.138 tonne); and iron (0.676 tonne).

In 2000, the total volume of effluent discharged from Lubny Felt Factory was 1,421,000 m3 per year, including 3,000 m3 of effluent that received no treatment.  The 2000 quantities of contaminants that entered the Sula River with effluent discharges from the Lubny Felt Factory are as follows: BODt (35 tonnes); oil products (29 tonnes); suspended substances (49 tonnes); dry residue (1,610 tonnes); sulphates (125 tonnes); chlorides (506 tonnes); ammonium nitrogen (22 tonnes); nitrates (29 tonnes); surfactants (0.143 tonne); and iron (0.985 tonne).

The Lubny Felt Factory accounts for 0.024% of the total volume of effluent discharges in the Dnipro Basin.

Priority contaminants entering the surface waters with effluent discharges from Lubny Felt Factory are: ammonium nitrogen, BOD, iron, and nitrates.
