6.3. Assessment of Results
Generally, according to all the criteria apart from drinking water supply, the Hot Spot “Agricultural complex in the basin of Vorsklitsa River” potentially has the most adverse impact on human health.
It is followed by Inter-district engineering services, town of Novozybkov and Inter-district engineering services, town of Klintsy as these Hot Spots are located within 30 km upstream the national boundary with the Republic of Belarus.
The Hot Spots Smolensk municipal vodokanal, Inter-district engineering services, town of Briansk, Kursk vodokanal are located near to big towns, where recreational zones (formally established or locally recognized bathing areas) are situated within 1 km downstream the Hot Spots or in immediate proximity upstream of the Hot Sots.
The other 9 Hot Spots have equal weighted scores in this category (Table 6.1).
