9.1. General priorities
Prioritization of the Hot Spots has been based on the scores assigned during the previous stage. The larger the score, the higher the priority is. Based on the results of Step 3 (Prioritization of Hot Spots) of Methodology (Chapter 3), the National Experts prioritized the short-listed Hot Spots and identified those to be evaluated in Step 4 (Identification of Mitigation Measures). According to the Methodology, it was suggested to identify 5 Hot Spots for Step 4 from the Russian Federation.
The table below (Table 9.1) presents a summary of the data obtained as a result of the assessment of the 15 Hot Spots according to individual categories and as a whole based on the results of Step 3. The table includes ranking of the Hot Spots according to the obtained values of effective mass of the pollutants discharged, the categories “Pollution control”, “Quality of Water and Human Health” and “Environment and Biodiversity”.
