8.3. Assessment of Results
The analysis of the scores by economic parameters showed that the ranking of the 15 Hot Spots according to the index “weighted point of the category” gives the following (in descending order): Minsk vodokanal (2.407); Retchitsa Vodokanal (1.434); Mogilev Gorvodokanal (1.009); Svetlogorsk Khimvolokno (0.669); Borisov vodokanal (0.609), Berezovsky vodokanal (0.608); Mozyrsky treatment plant (0.575); Gomel vodokanal (0.542); Bobruisk Khimvolokno (0.512); Svetlogorsk heat station (0.436); Pinsk vodokanal (0.381); Orsha vodokanal (0.374); Soligorsk vodokanal (0.366); Zhlobinsk vodokanal (0.301) and Slutsk vodokanal (0.301) (see Annex 10).
The Hot Spots of the cities Borisov and Bereza did not submit their full list of scheduled environmental mitigation measures for the damage caused to the Dnipro Basin by their polluted effluents.
Based on the values of the weighted scores in the Category “Economics”, the following largest enterprises of the Republic of Belarus were identified as the priority Hot Spots: Minsk vodokanal, Retchitsa Vodokanal, Mogilev Gorvodokanal, Mozyr treatment plants and Gomel vodokanal, with scores of 2.407; 1.434; 1.009; 0.575; and 0.542, respectively.
