9. Conclusions
Basically all tasks specified by the Terms of Reference within the framework of this project were accomplished and its goals achieved.
As the analysis of international conventions and agreements did not demonstrate the need to introduce essential changes and amendments to environmental legislation currently in force in the Dnipro River countries, that issue did not receive separate consideration in this report.
In view of the time constraints and lack of necessary initial information, it was not possible to provide a reliable estimate of the projected financial costs of realizing the adapted laws, nor of projecting the environmental and economic effectiveness of their implementation in the Dnipro River basin. It is therefore recommended that relevant information in this regard be obtained from European sources.
