In the course of developing the environmental management system, areas of non-compliance with environmental regulations were revealed and measures were proposed to eliminate non-compliance and to create a system of controlling environmental efficiency of the enterprise. Creating an environment management system at MOZYRSALT and preparing the company for environmental certification included: - conducting preliminary environmental assessment that presupposes a thorough systematic analysis of environmental impact enabling to reveal shortcomings in the used environmental protection measures and immediate environmental problems, and to find ways to improve the company’s environmental protection activities; - training the company’s managers of all levels at the stages of environmental management system development and introduction; - designing an action program to create the environmental management system; - developing procedures for creating the environmental management system in accordance with ISO 14001-96; - compiling a Manual on the environmental management system in accordance with ISO 14001-96; - conducting, together with the enterprise representatives, a joint internal audit of the introduction and functioning of the environmental management system in compliance with ISO 14001-96 and ISO 14011. The “EcologyInvest” experts carried out all works relating to the creation of the environmental management system in accordance with the schedule as envisaged in the individual terms of reference (distribution of responsibilities) (See Appendix 1). 3.1.
